Practical consultancy for care providers and SMEs — structured around what works for you.
Most consultants hand you a price list. I’d rather start with a conversation. Depending on what you need, how your organisation works, and where you are right now, there are several ways we can structure an engagement — and I’m open to creative arrangements that make sense for both sides.
A clearly scoped project with a set price and defined deliverables. You know exactly what you’re paying before we start, and I’m accountable to delivering what we agreed. Good for one-off pieces of work with a clear outcome.
Ongoing strategic support on a regular basis — typically one or two days per month. Predictable cost, priority access, and continuity of knowledge built over time. Well suited to organisations going through sustained change who need a consistent, experienced voice in the room.
If budget is tight right now but the work needs doing, we can agree to defer part or all of my fee until you’ve had time to see the benefits — or until a funding decision lands. This is how I work with organisations where the timing is right but the cash flow isn’t.
For the right projects, I’ll tie my fee to measurable outcomes. If the work saves you time, reduces costs, or grows your revenue, we share in that success. This aligns my incentives directly with yours — I only do well when you do.
Payments tied to delivery stages rather than time or a lump sum upfront. Keeps both of us accountable to making progress — and means you’re not paying for work that hasn’t happened yet. A good middle ground between fixed fee and retainer.
For shorter engagements, advisory work, or situations where the scope is hard to define upfront. Transparent, flexible, and easy to scale. You use what you need, and there’s no long commitment on either side.
Not sure which model fits? Start a conversation and we’ll figure it out together.
These are the areas I work in. Fees shown are typical starting points — the actual structure depends on the engagement model we agree.
Whether you’re moving from paper to digital, replacing legacy systems, or meeting sector-specific digital requirements, I’ll help you plan the transformation and — critically — make it stick. Technology is only half the challenge; getting people to adopt new ways of working is the other half.
Care providers and SMEs who need to modernise their operations but want to do it in a way that’s planned, proportionate, and actually works. Particularly valuable for organisations where previous technology projects haven’t delivered.
Discuss your needsSenior operational and strategic support on a part-time, ongoing basis. You get the expertise of an operations director and digital lead without the full-time salary.
Growing organisations that need experienced operational leadership but aren’t ready for a full-time hire. Ideal for businesses going through significant change — new systems, scaling up, regulatory shifts, or digital transformation.
Discuss your needsTailored GDPR compliance frameworks, cyber security policies, and governance systems designed for your specific context — not generic templates downloaded from the internet.
Regulated businesses — particularly care providers — who need compliant, practical documentation that staff actually use. Also relevant for any organisation that needs to strengthen its data protection and cyber security posture.
Discuss your needsThe Data Security and Protection Toolkit is an annual NHS self-assessment that every CQC-registered adult social care provider must complete by 30 June. Reaching “Standards Met” — not just “Approaching Standards” — is increasingly required for NHS contracts, scrutinised during CQC inspections, and a condition of many data sharing agreements.
Adult social care providers — care homes, domiciliary care, and supported living services — who need to achieve or maintain Standards Met. Particularly valuable for providers who have previously sat at Approaching Standards, are new to the DSPT, or have a contract renewal or CQC inspection on the horizon.
